President’s Report

Dear Members,

I am writing to update you on recent developments since my last report. We have experienced significant changes and challenges, including the departure of our General Manager, Stuart Cairns. Additionally, we faced notable damage to our roof and ceiling, which required immediate attention.

I am pleased to inform you that we have made considerable progress in addressing these issues. Repairs to the auditorium’s roof and ceiling are underway, and we have been working diligently to restore and enhance our club’s amenities. You may have noticed new chairs in the bistro, updated televisions, and improved lighting around the bar, all aimed at enhancing your experience.

Our recent members’ survey provided valuable feedback, and we have acted on your suggestions. Many of you expressed a desire for raffles to continue from Thursday to Sunday, and we are now including a member’s badge draw as an added incentive to reward your loyalty. In response to concerns about our wine selection, we have partnered with Robert Oatley Wines to offer a refreshed and diverse range of options.

Our bistro continues to deliver high-quality meals, and we are proud to share that Chef Raj was recently recognised as a finalist in the Perfect Plate Clubs NSW awards. We were honored to have top chef Matt Moran visit the club to sample our Lamb Backstrap, which received a resounding seal of approval.

Live entertainment is back on track, thanks to the dedicated support of Brett Pattinson. We are also preparing to open our smaller venue room for bookings and additional entertainment options.

In the coming months, we will be advertising for a new General Manager as part of our ongoing staffing restructure. This step is crucial as we aim to build a strong leadership team to support the club’s continued success.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement. We look forward to bringing you more updates and enhancements in the near future.

Yours sincerely,

Terry Farley
President
